What do you dislike about the C4?

I wish either the top had a quick release, or had T-tops. Cheap plastic cracking interior parts, and the glitchy digital climate control module('88 here). highway drone of the knockoff flowmasters

Burning Brakes
Hey Guy--love to see it again some time. By the time I passed the car along to you I had completely taken care of the missing problem. The thing is my mechanic and I never quite figured out what was causing it but the problem went away after he did the rocker install along with upgrading the spark plug wires.

There is nothing that I dislike about my "Please arrest me red" 1994 Corvette. I get more looks than a drugged up rock star parading around on top of a building and can knock down over thirty miles per gallon on the highway. What is there that is not to like??

Targa top is a chore to remove
Brakes to puny by todays standards.
Door panels starting to peel away

the oil temp gage on the 96 LT4's makes no sense. the only time it reaches 205 degrees is when there is a heat wave. The gage doesn't begin to register until 215 degrees. The needle never enters the gage.

Really? What cars had better performing brakes in '78? Not many.

Car & Driver Road Test of the 1984 Corvette:
"Item: Its braking, thanks to an advanced Girlock four-wheel-disc system, makes the car stop as if it had been dropped into a sand bank. Our 70-to-0-mph brake test produced a stop in a mere 173 feet — seven feet shorter than the best 1982 distance of 180 feet, recorded by a Porsche 928, and not far off the all-time record of 165 feet, set by a Porsche 930 Turbo!"

That's a fantastic color, too!
I wonder if all these complaints about the brakes aren't possibly the result of a lot of the cars' brake systems no longer being "stock". By this I mean pads/rotors no longer genuine GM-spec parts, master cylinders/calipers/ABS controllers not working properly, rubber hoses aged into mush, old fluid, tires of incorrect-equivalency, etc. All of these variables can tend to wander away from spec over time on most multi-owner used cars. People will try to save money on a repair that's needed in order to sell a car, or maybe they were just cheap with all the car's needs all along. I don't see why the brakes on a car that has been kept, or brought back to, original specification shouldn't work just like the brakes on that Car & Driver test car did...

For my 87 my dislikes are -
1. 4+3
2. Wish the seat would go back more
3. Could use a cupholder
4. My foot often catches the floorboard when I use the clutch.
I have more likes than dislikes...
