Default The Bodykit/Bodywork Begins 90 ZR1

I have finally decided to tackle the bodywork for my 90 ZR1. I am also making a few changes to the bodykit as I do it. Here are pictures of what the car looked like when I started.

Here is what it looks like now. I am modifying the front bumper, filled in some of the hood vents, creating a lip spoiler, etc. I have some more pictures that I will post later. I need to reduce the picture size to post.

Yes. It is a 368 fully ported with stage 1 cams, 2in headers, 3in stainless exhaust, aluminum flywheel, centerforce clutch and 4.10 gears.

What are you using as the base of the spoiler or are you just stacking fiberglass? I am planning on doing the same thing but trying to find the best route. Looks good.

Great looking car. I didnt know they offered the G4R kit for wide body ZR1s. Never been a fan of raised cowl hoods on C4s but the rest looks amazing. I have a couple questions about your car.

What kind of lights do you have in the G4R lower front fascia? Any pics with those lights on?

Also, What are you planning to do to the hood vents exactly? Any pics of the progress on those yet?

Planning on doing anything else other than a rear lip and hoodvent modification? The body kit already looks like its in mint condition...

Methinks the kit you have now looks really nice. But, I agree, it would look better (perform better?) with a low-profile spoiler. And it appears that's what you're going to have when you're done.

It's a combination of fiberglass, foam and bondo. I started with a fiberglass base. Then I made foam templates to get the curve. I followed up with thin plastic and more fiberglass. Now I am using mainly bondo to smooth out the curves.
