Finally a Corvette owner
I was 16 years old when I drove an 87' C4. I have always wanted one for the longest time and after some help and advice on this forum I found one. I got a great deal on a 1989 6spd. It needs a good wash, wax and detail. The passenger side quarter is bubbling so I am looking to get that done soon. I also need to replace the EGR on it. As far as that goes, it runs good and I thoroughly enjoy it.
I will take some better pictures soon, for now, here it is:
Any C4 owner around the Rock Hill, SC area that wants to teach me how to change an EGR valve would be great. It does have code 32.

Congrats! She looks good already. I like the red spears on the hood. Those wheels look great under the black car too.

Congrats, nice Vette. I used to visit Rock Hill all the time back in the 90's. Nice area and you'll get to enjoy your Vette pretty much year round, whereas I'll be parking mine for the winter in another month.

Check the EGR valve first to see if the vacuum tube is just plugged up. Disconnect the vacuum hose that goes to it and look at the tube on the egr valve that the hose squeezes onto. Try running a small drill bit into the tube. Sometimes it just get clogged up. You can tell if it is if you feel a little resistance when pushing in on the drill bit. If you are lucky enough to have a vacuum tool, you can hook it up and see if it holds vacuum. You can hear the diaphram opening and closing when you release the vacuum. All this can be done without removing anything from the top of the engine. It's very easy to get at. I thought mine needed replaced too but I tried this method and saved the time and expense of replacement. It works perfectly now.

Glad you found yours. I too in the late 80's ,89 to be exact graduated from High School and wanted one then... Finally got a C4 in 2010 and I think I'll keep it forever. I have 94 6spd and love to drive it over my new cars that I have. Nothing like that push rod V8 sound.. Congrats!!

Really nice looking C4! Congratulations and welcome to the forum. A ton of great knowledge here too! The 'Search Feature' is your friend! I'd recommend buying a Factory Service Manual or FSM pronto, if you plan on working on it. The Chiltons and Hayes suck.

Thanks for the compliments.
FOURSPEEDVETTE, I will definitely trouble shoot with your advice this weekend
I have the a Factory Service Manual as well as a Haynes (both came with the car)
dPhilC4, they are 17" wheels with 275/40Z/R17 Goodyear Eagle F1 tires.
