Can you switch C4 seats???
I would like to have a C4 as a daily driver.....but.....I'm 53 and not a gymnist so I have a hell of a time getting out of one. Is there any solution to this problem??
Thanks for your ideas!!!

I'm not sure there is much of a solution although you can change seats. The problem is that the side frame rail is not below the seats.
You can try different ways of getting in and out. For example to get in you can put your right foot on the floorboards and sit on the side frame rail then shift yourself over to the seat. To get out you can put your left leg out over the rail and put the tip of your foot under the front edge of the door to help give you leverage to shift over to sit on the frame rail.
I'm not a youngster either so I'm no gymnast either. I was daily driving C4's for quite a few years. I tried a lot of different methods when I hurt my back and still needed to drive.
The C4's were great as daily drivers. They really made my 100 mile per day commute a lot better.
Good luck.

It's not the seats that will make it hard for you to get in or out. It's the high door sill across the bottom. You can change the seats, but you can't change the high door sill design. Getting used to lifting your legs in and out won't take long to figure out.

The '94-'96 seats are a little easier to climb in and out of since they're not as sculpted as the earlier seats. Other than that, the solution is to buy a C5 or C6.

I'm almost 63 years old so I consider getting in and out of my C4 as my exercise for the day . I have to admit, getting out is a whole lot harder than getting in

I replaced my 90 sport seats with standard 95 seats and LOVE it! They not only are much easier to get in and out of, but long cruising is a pleasure now whereas the sport seats would cause a lot of pain in my left leg (where the bolster pressed against it). The 95 seats changed the entire driving experience of the 90 Z, for the better!

I took the person seriously that said "you fall in and climb out" and that works for me. I sort of squat, aiming my rear at the seat and drop/fall in and then get my legs in.
It is easier for me to put both legs out on the ground and use my hands and scooch onto the side rail and then stand up.
I'm 73.

Yup at 55 I fall in and climb out, I have to use both legs when getting in/out. I tried the left leg out and hand on A piller with right leg in but I hurt my left leg supporting all my weight as I lowered myself into the car. I find it way easier to get in/out with the targa top off.

C4 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019
I daily drove my 95 for 6 years and including lunch that was in and out 3 times every day. I can get in in one movement and out with two.
Right foot into the footwell and just smoothly fall into the seat as described above. To get out. Turn your body in the seat and put both feet out the door then left elbow out the door to the side of the car to lever yourself out. After a few hundred times it's easy and smooth ......and I'm 60.

I wish the PO of my Z hadn't pulled on the wheel all the time
One technique I use is to push down on the sill to lift my body up a little and then swing out of the car.
This seems like a good solution. I have this on my "list" for the future, Paul

1989 Seat Frame Removal
I recently got a pretty good deal on a set of seats and want to swap them with my old ones (standard seats). I took the seat cushion out and I'm looking a four (4) bolts to remove. Are there any other hidden, like some other Vette parts have or are these the only ones that need to be removed? Also anyone know the bolt head size? Thanks.
