my 94 6spd
i pulled the plug and bought a 94 6spd at the end of last month. i bought it and had it shipped in from MA. its a two owner car and was originally sold new in FL on 11-2-93. the car came to me from the second owner and was not running. i replaced the opti, the coil, the ICM, and plugs and wires and the engine runs SUPER strong. clutch is starting to slip but that's a fix for another day. i can tell you how much of an improvement in sheer power and acceleration the car has over my 84 4+3. i have a couple pics that i have on my phone and as soon as i can upload pics to my photobucket from my computer i will post better quality pics. something with my adobe reader is screwy and not allowing the upload function to start. anyways, here are a couple pics from my phone. will post more as soon as i can:

no, i sold the 84 some time ago.. when we found out my wife was pregnant with our third child. being without a Corvette was too much for me to handle. i bought other cars and none could replace the Corvette and the way it made me feel. this 94 filled the void and then some!

Only us Corvette people know how old these cars are. I've got a '96 and people are always asking me if it's new! Most of these C4's have been taken care of reasonably I guess, and the rest is just because they're a tough little car who's looks are ageless.

thank you. i may buy the 84 back in the future. i sold it to a buddy and he'd sell it to me if i had the cash.
the 944 can be a maintenance hog and should be thoroughly checked before purchase. timing belt, tensioner, and water pump are key items that should be replaced before purchase if the price is in the upper part of the spectrum and if not, should be changed right after purchase. a broken belt can sideline a 944 until thousands of dollars is coughed up, lol

thank you! the 94 feels like it has sooo much more power and i love the ZF 6spd over the DN 4+3. the handling is fairly close, but the FX3 the 94 has is pretty neat. i do prefer the later interior, though the seats in the 84 were much more comfortable.
