Dropped by to say Hello.
Used to be in this section on a daily basis, but now still drop by from time to time to see whats going on.
I think I have an issue in regards to modding my car. It all began with my C4.
Just put a corsa exhaust, C5 Z06 calipers, new rotors and CCW rims and 18 inch tires. So, the MADNESS began over HERE! I blame you all.
Sadly the C4 went to a new home to make room for my new Z06. I wish it went to a forum member but that does not seem to be the case.
What I started with....
Then came black chrome RaceMesh in all of the intakes along with the carbon fiber fron splitter, side skirts and rear spoiler from Katech.
Next was a titanium Akrapovic exhaust.
Then I broke the bank when I discovered Caravaggio and his incredible interior work.
Then came some custom painted FRCs and a carbon fiber intake by Halltech.
I could not believe when Halltech released this all carbon fiber GT2 Dred hood based off of the C6R GT car. It only weighs 10 lbs!
Of course I had to get it custom painted, leaving the center section as exposed carbon fiber with clear coat. An entire carbon fiber hood would of looked too RICER.
Finally installed last weekend. Man it is a pain in the **** to get the final adjustment just right.
I have been going back and forth for 6 months about getting rid of my stock spyder wheels. Then I came across this picture in the Z06 forum of a wicked Z06 with the same Halltech GT2 hood. He left the exposed carbon fiber in the form of Jake. Incredible!
I keep coming back to his wheels. I was ready to buy HRE P40S but these ADV 10.1 monoblocks in brushed gunmetal look SIC.
I just cant copy these wheels, luckly ADV just released a new version of this wheel ADV 10.1SL. SL standing for Super Light. The wheel has some extra milling on the CNC machine to remove weight plus there are some titanium parts (don't even ask the cost). So a partial payment goes in the mail tomorrow to get my order started. Hopefully in 10 weeks I will have my new shoes!
So my addiction all began over here. I hate you all!

Both cars are beautiful. The ZO6 looks incredible! It's been my experience driving around here that C6 drivers are the most respectful to me and my C4. My family is from Ohio and I am a big Buckeye fan I was just up in Springfield this past July. I went to the Columbus Zoo and made a stop at Ohio State to look around.

I used to be here a lot too. After I put the 383 in my '86, I really started driving it more.
I have a C5, but I just love that C4. you just sort of "wear" it. Not like the C5 where you "sit" in it.
I can't believe how much time I have wrapped up in that '86.
I just wish GM didn't cut so many corners trying to make a profit on these cars.

Melting Slicks
That's a dream car of mine.... One day I guess. Now all you need is rims and a nice H/C/I set up and that thing would move as good as it looks!
So killer!
Good luck

Update: Wheels have been milled and finished.
Now just need to get them on the new rubber and shipped to my house. The waiting is killing me.
Went with a brushed gunmetal finish in a 19/20 size (standard on Z06 carbon or ZR1, nothing extreme).
Some of you wanted an update so I will post some pics when I get my new shoes on and the car lowered a bit.
