My 91 is my only car so I drive it everywhere. Why drive some low-perf car when I can drive the Vette

About $2,500. I found a shop that does custom paint to do it.
Just so you know I bought the car with body damage and paint that was totally wasted, the clear coat had peeled long ago. But since my plan all along was to make it a DD it worked out.

I love the Matte and get loads of compliments, to the point of being stopped in traffic by the curious.

I will tell you it is far more maintenance than a standard finish, I have to wash it several times a week to keep it pristine.

I tell most people that getting a car wrapped is probably the best way to go. It is so durable that most road grime and crap won't damage it. It will be cheaper, but find a good installer.

Matte paint on the other hand is far more delicate and shows absolutely everything.

My 96 CE is my daily driver even though I don't neccesarily go out every day. Since I bought it on Dec. 31st 2007 I have put about 23k on it. It now has 45k on it now. I can't imagine driving anything else.

'95 LT1 is my DD. I like slinging it around the curvy moutain roads.

I drive my 95 six speed almost everyday, the '93 is for Saturday's, my truck for hauling stuff and the new GS is for Sunday's and anyday I'm not working.

My 84 is my DD, unless the weather man is calling for snow/ice, then I hop in my Jeep. I HATE driving the Jeep...97 TJ with the 2.5L 4 banger with AT...what a SLUG! 0-60 timed with a sun dial! LOL! But I've never had her stuck in a mud hole before and she's seen some ugly messes! LOL! I drive the Vette every chance I have! Owned for about 3 years now and have put almost 22K on it. I get just a touch over 20MPG commuting to work, highway mileage hovers in the 30MPG range...Jeep NOWHERE close to that kind of mileage (4.10 gears, 8" lift on 35's)...

84 Vett here is a daily driver as well. Heck it gets a lot better mpg than my 99 Pathfinder, more fun to drive, and more comfprtable LOL.

My 1990 ZR-1 is my daily driver, but I have only had her for a month. :-)

My '86 is my daily driver since I got the '03 Gold Anniversary in August, 2002. I drive the '03 on long trips, car shows, etc. Those are the only vehicles I own.
