Wow, some of the prices he listed for the parts are crazy! Apparently the valves in his heads cost $1800....

Where do people come up with this ****? Doesn't have the original A-mold wheels either, you can tell by how much chrome is showing. A-molds are just the lip.

If that's the baddest at 475hp, what's mine at 500+? Not to mention Rich S who's GS makes even more power.

The GS looks great and that is not the OEM muffler and has JB LTH.

Funny Jim. I was going to post "Wait until Jim sees this one."

I think the Vette looks great and I think he wants to keep it. I bet he promised somebody that he would put it up for sale against his feelings and chose to list it for $26K.

Good eye on the mufflers. Look like Flowmasters.

None the less, I agree that it's a good looking car.

Good theory about the sale/price.

I think this car is low mileage and selling in the general price range I've seen the grand sport coupes listed. The claim it is the fastest grand sport has obviously been debunked. 475 is not a lot of horsepower, given some of the cars that come with that stock. If I were in the market for a grand sport, I would want one as close to original as possible. With a car that is collectible like a grand sport, a lot of mods can decrease the value of the car. I think in this case the mods have devalued it, but by how much will depend on buyer opinion.

I thought the ONLY reason the GS demands the money they do is because of their 1/1000 status "as is". GS people are all about keeping it orgininal. The minute someone goes to modding a GS, well, hell...there goes the BIG status factor or a limited factory car - becomes just another hotrod and has to stand on it's own merrits.

Something else... You build a 350 cid SBC up to 475 net hp (read: driving water pump, alt, etc) and it is anything but nice in traffic - some serious "rumpity-rump", fouling plugs, over heating, lousey low/mid torque, etc, etc... has been my experience.

Looks like a nice clean car but wow did he get screwed on those prices! I'd like to see the 1200hp rear that only cost $1800. There was a GS in Ohio with a blower that was 650+Hp If I remember right but never any 1/4 times.

We should have a GS 3 way shootout, Jim can embarrass him on a raodcourse, then I'll take him out in the 1/4.

I'm sure it's a great car. The e-bay link said item no longer available, so I missed all the details. It's just that claims like "World's baddest" don't carry much credibility around here, especially coming from e-bay. And these guys really, I mean really, know these cars. Don't take it personally.

BTW the 98Z launch was a nice vid. I had a 98Z before the LT4, loved it.

You seem to "imply" that you're still the owner so you've "now" got the opportunity it seems to "substantiate" your claims.
