Hey ejscarfo,

Another Long Islander here, in Selden. Cruising down 25A into Port Jefferson on a weekday night is fun. Very quiet at that time with many twisties.

After 7 months of sitting in the garage, hooked up to a tender, I took the Vette out for a spin today. That was 7 hours ago, and I still have that grin on my face.

I love taking it to a do it yourself car wash . It takes me for ever to finish washing it , everyone is always coming up to me and giving me the I love your car , what year is it and so on. I never get tired of it. I love it.

I haven't been able to drive mine for 6 months - I'm getting depressed.
Finishing the engine this weekend and should be out on a road course May 12.

Ah those good ol' days... when I lived with my dad I did this all the time. It would take me 2 and half to three hours to clean my car inside and out every single time

Anytime my right foot is getting acquainted with the carpet.

Being the only C4 down at the drag strip.
Being the only C4 at the auto-x.
Being the only C4 at a car show.
Looking Good, Kicking *** at all three.

Neat every time I start it and hear the rumble. Then getting out on SMOOTH, two-lane roads through the rolling countryside and nearby mountains. It is a really great way to enjoy being outside on a beautiful day or night. It is interesting that most of the time when I am just cruising with my wife like that, I drive the Vette a lot more conservatively (carefully) than any of my other vehicles. But I rarely see any other Vettes other than an occasional C5 or C6. The newer Camaros seem to be much more common, but being relatively unique is nice. People notice the dark red metallic C4 and are consistently making nice comments or wishing they were driving it. It is nice to know that while cruising I am getting a lot better gas mileage than most folks think.

When I am on a "Road Trip", like the Power Tour.
Nothing like driving down the road with other car people.

Here are just a few good shots from Power Tour trips.
First picture is Mike and I at Kennedy Space Center where the Power Tour started last year.

Satisfaction starts when I first open the door and doesn't stop till I get out again.

I do not even have to drive it, just walking out in the garage !!

My 94 is a gage queen, I like to keep it nice shiny and dry, under a breathable cover. But I do give it a nice run on the highway on the weekends - dry weather that is !!

I live sitting in the seat, driving, you name it. Like others have said --- I like something different. The new Camaro's, Mustang's, Dodge's are neat --- but ---- I like the older cars more. They are unique, not every day cars that you see all over the place.

Try this one...
When beating 4x4s off the line in the snow!
Yes, I have done it. I would love to have seen the look the H1 owners face...

Now, just beating C5/6s at autocross.

Drove my C4 yesterday but didn't earlier today because it was pouring down rain -- so I was getting a little antsy. Finally quit a little after lunch so I could take a winding two-lane country road with my bride by my side. Going out of town on the 4-lane, one of the later GTO's pulled up next to me. Driver acted like he wanted to test the Vette, but I just smiled and waved. Must be learning patience in my old age. Beautiful afternoon for a nice ride - just got home.

My favorite drive of the year is when I bring it home out of storage in the spring - life-affirming. And my least favorite is when I'm going to put it away for the winter.

Driving this completely restored 95 vert.
Was in a texas flood 3 1/2 ft of water and sat for a while.
I do not see many 95 verts on the road at all.
Car runs great, fast and has her tags.
Now its onto the Supercharger install.

U would have had to seen the inside of the motor to believe it.
I pulled the heads and there was about 1/2 cup of mineral deposits in EACH frozen cylinder. (water in the intake> yes)
