Default ADVICE:Replacing front nose/ rear gas lid emblems

Am replacing dull faded front nose and rear gas lid emblems. The glue is hard as a rock holding the old ones on. Put a very small amount of heat- blow dryer but they won't budge. Afraid to do any more for fear of damage to lid and hood. Sure someone has overcome this. Any advice?

Use tape to protect he area around the emblem... Use some more heat.. You can use a plastic spreader to get under it or you can use some welding wire... Wrap the ends around something and put it under the edge of the emblem.. Pull up litely and saw back and forth... Just pay attention to where the studs are and work your way around..

God luck

Are you able to use dental floss, or fishing line, and "saw" the glue off by sliding the floss/line between the emblem and body?

Use thin gauge nylon weed wacker line to saw back and forth. Dental floss and fishing line maybe a little too thin. Use the back side (Handle) of a screw driver to push the pins on the backside just enough until the emblems break free. Just did this on my pops 96. Use googone to get rid of the rest of the adhesive when the emblems are off and a cotton cloth. Will take a while but go slow.
