Step back 6 inches and that monster sized chip will vanish.

It looks like that chip is right through the paint. You'll first need to fill the hole with a bit of body filler. When it's almost fully set, carefully slice the excess off with a razor blade. Later, carefully sand it with fine paper, taking care not to sand through the clear coat surrounding the chip. Apply touch-up paint to the repair. You may want to sand it lightly again to remove any high spots on the touch-up. Finally, polish the area with soft cloth.

I have used this on my car and it works wonders. Not perfect but WAY better than typical touch up paint.

Competition Yellow? I bought touchup paint from my chevy dealer and one of the GM chip repair kits. This is the one I bought at the dealer a few years back. I have used it several times with good results. It seems to have been discontinued, but is still available on line.

I used to do paint chip 'repair' when I was in California.

I used an air brush and painted light coats until the chip was filled.

Once dry, just polish it with ebony polish to get rid of the over spray.
(don't rub the paint back out of the chip)

Once that's done, just wax..

Later, carefully sand it with fine paper,
He doesn't mean Home Depot "fine." He means 2000-grit automotive-type that you can get at auto paint stores.

I think they have a Sherwood Forest Green. I will check to see if they match.
