Lauderdale to Gainesville yesterday, and is back in the family, safe in my garage!!! It is so amazing to see it. The previous owner didn't change a thing. He even kept the key chain that my dad used!
I hardly slept last night, and I've been awake since 4:30 giving it some TLC: wash, clay bar, light compound, and wax, and thorough detail. I'll post some pictures soon!
The brakes and tires were replaced about 8 months ago and the car runs great... but I'll schedule a full tune up next week. Some wear and tear parts need to be replaced such as some weather striping, floor mats, etc, but overall the car is in great shape.
Thanks for all the support and advice!
I am VERY happy for you!!! I understand what this can mean to someone, my Corvette belonged to my father as well.

Post some pics!!!

Cheers,
JB

I wonder...when I go...if either of my kids will care enough to keep my Vette in the family?

Very cool. I know what it means to have an "in family" car. My '87 is
one.

Unlikely it's more than it's worth to you. Pictures look great. Maybe some wear on the driver's seat(?), but the paint looks outstanding & it has (IMHO) the nicest factory rims to ever come on the C4.
