Stupidest thing somebody has said about your C4?

Thanks for resurrecting this thread!! I'm having a blast reading it!!
I've owned my '95 coupe for about 6 months now and have heard some good (bad) ones, but the winner came from my 16-year-old son: "Cool car, Dad! Can I drive it!" Gotta love youthful exuberance!

I've gotten a few of the milder ones already posted, like the mid-life crisis comments and the "must be nice" kind of stuff. To former, I've replied "I'm only 25 - how old do you think I am!" I'm really 47. To the latter, I mostly take them as compliments. Give it time and I'm sure I'll get more.
Not Vette-related, but 18 years ago on my bachelor party, several of us were heading out in one friend's Suzuki Samurai. We got to the second or third club and as we're getting out, a girl in a group nearby hollers out, "Fake Jeep!" Now, I only vaguely remember this (the rest of the night still comes back in flashbacks, but that's about it). But everyone with my party says that I turned around and hollered back, "Fake ****!" And that was the last we heard from them.

Not a stupid remark, but a treasured one:
While in her Vette on our way to the assigned parking spot, carefully picking her way through the throngs gathered at a cruise night, a man walked in front of us while holding onto his (6-year old(?)) son's hand. Suddenly, the boy stopped and pointed at my wife in the driver's seat while pulling on his father's hand. "Hey, dad, LOOK! There's a GIRL driving that car!!" Ah,.. it's been years since, but still funny.
In fact, it is almost timeless! At a party/gathering after we arrive in one of her Vettes, someone will come up to me and ask something about the car. And, the look of astonishment on their faces when I point to Ami and tell them they'll have to ask the owner about it.
At some point afterwards, we'll enjoy a private joke when one of us will say to the other, "Hey, LOOK! There's a girl driving that car!!"

I haven't posted in this thread b/c my story isn't directly 'Vette/C4 related...but it's close.
9 years ago, I bought my first Corvette; a brand new '06 C6. At the time, my wife had a '91 Dodge Stealth RT/TT (remember those?). Excited to find a "car guy" community, and resume hanging out w/ "car guys" again, I joined the Corvette Club of UT. Well...bless their hearts, but they were NOT "Car guys", by my definition. Our first CCofU event, a "Cruise to Jackson WY", we met in a parking lot...all the 'Vettes where there, and my wife's Stealth. Here is the Stealth...in fact from that very cruise! (can't believe I have a pic of it still)...
On this cruise, I bet there were at least 10 Corvette Club of UT members that asked me how we got a 4 seat Corvette!! (?)

I've only owned mine less than 6 months. Mostly good comments, but I got asked at a truck stop "Is it yours?"
I guess it goes with "girl driving a vette" comments.

Someone was asking (at a gas station) how it does in the snow (i dont drive it in the snow).
Then asked if it was FWD .......😂.
(The guy wasn t joking either, just had no idea. kind of seemed like a hick so youd think he would know but apparently not. Seemed like the type of person who had lived his whole life in one place and never left the county he lives in)
