Obviously it depends on individual leg length but I'm 5'-9" and the seat is ALL THE WAY back in mine, and I could use another 1/4" of leg room. My Dad who is 6'-1" and loves sports cars will not drive mine because he feels it is too dangerous if he needed to react quickly. I called him a pansie but his knees were up around the steering wheel.

I came up with a cheap way to get the driver's seat about 2-1/2" lower in the front, and 3" lower in the rear. Also got it to lean back more giving a bit more leg room.
I used a manual seat track from the passenger side of a '85 or '86 car. I cut 2 inches out of the legs, massaged the mounting tabs, and welded some gussets in to keep it nice and strong. I then removed some of the foam from the seat cushion, and made a relief cut on the seat back so it could lean back a bit more. I also ground away some of the material of the two clamshell pieces of the seat, so that it could open more, giving more rearward lean.
Sounds complicated, and I guess it was, but the result was that I could comfortably sit in the car (I'm 6'9") with a helmet on. Hope this helps

I am 6'4 and I use the seat tilt to tilt the rear back down as far as possible. I also have the back far enough back before it starts to hit the carpet and sit more upright. I have to get out and stretch a few times, but it's a good reason to stop and top off the gas or take in some scenery.

seat back forward a bit, the seat bottom can go farther back. And
put the seat bottom all the way down. Note that the front/back up/down
switch is in the tray on the console with the '87 sport seats.
It might be helpful if folks posted their inseam length. I were pants with a
34 inch inseam.
I've done a full tank of gas until the reserve light came on a few
times. I'm amazed that my 62-year-old bladder made it that long.

Now you have me wondering. I can go all day in the wife's honda, but only an hour at a time with the vette's ride, and I'm 43.

About an hour to maybe 1 1/2 for me then the noise is tirering. Can't afford Corsa so bought Borla hey at least they both end in 'a' and have the letters 'or' in the middle what could be so different? LOL everything I am sure. At 5'8" plenty of leg room and 170 lbs so the seat fits just fine. I do need to find the time to fix the lumbar pump and hope that helps my bad back. I hope it is only the pump as I assume the bladder for the support is part of the seat cover and money wise out of the question.

I swapped the foam on my stock seats when i changed the leather covers, the new foam looked great and looked just like the stock pieces but the foam was more dense and did not let me seat far enough down and back. I ended up going back to the stock foam and the new covers. Try another C4, maybe the one you tried had the foam like the one I had?

I'm 6'3" with no issues in my 96. I have pulled the springs under the seats to get about a 1/2" of helmet clearance and it seems to make the seat a tad more snug too. Won't really help with leg room though. Give a 91 or newer a try.

You don't mention how tall you are, but I would recommend you try a later model C4. I have a '96 with the sport seats, and at 6'4"/250 pounds I find it to be comfortable. I tilt the front of the seat all the way up and drop the rear down giving me good support for my upper legs. I've taken it to BG numerous times and to Key West once, and the only problems I had was getting out of the car. Still have that problem, but at 65 YO I have an excuse now.

Try a later model. I fit fine in my 92, knee hits the underdash occasionally so its comming out. I did have to remove the bottom seat cushion and sit on the straps to have enough head room for my helmet
New custom race seat on order and the stock seat will be gone.
