I have a 93 w/ plastic vert window.
Converting to glass sounds nice, for the optical qualities, but I really hate to add weight to my high performance car.
Sure, 10 lbs might not seem like a lot, but it adds up. Look at the tally below:
AFR aluminum 210cc heads: 20 lbs heavier than stock
Canton 7 quart road race oil pan: 7 lbs heavier than stock
glass rear window: 10 lbs heavier than stock
roll cage: 40 lbs of weight added
Total 77 lbs of weight added.
It all adds up.

Man, the answer to everything is on a forum. The weight of just the glass in a Vette top is 6.218 pounds. So it's probably 6 pounds heavier than a plastic top.
I just replaced my top and the old rear window was almost falling out of it. I did get my new top for $377.00 including shipping. That's heated glass and all. Replacing the top is not difficult. The cleaning will take about a day of steady work and about a twelve pack.
