In 1991, I bought a 1984 Vette after learning that my insurance rates would drop when I turned 25. 7 weeks later, when I got my first insurance bill, I traded it in on an S10 Blazer. In 2022, I bought my ‘85.

I bought a loaded white with great interior 1990 when I was 19. Still remember that as it was my first car payment. $119/month.

I last posted in this thread 12 years ago on this date. 23 years ago on this date, I bought my '96. I was 24. I still have the car and plan to keep it forever as I know it! It's a part of me, for sure.

24, just bought my first Vette earlier this year. It's a '92 coupe 6-speed, red on red. Loving it so far! Side note: first Vette I ever drove was a C7 Z51. I was a senior in high school, it was my girlfriend at the time dad's car. He let us take it to prom.

I'm 73, bought my '90 convertible yesterday. Told the gent I bought it from I was trying to relive the childhood I wished I had had.

Due to life - and wiser than I thought at the time parents - the only even remotely hot car I ever owned previously was a '69 Nova SS I bought when I transferred from Japan to Maine (USN). Shortly after that, marriage, kids, constant transfers, etc. dictated much more practical cars.
