is it just me, or are there a ton of new corvette owners? I don't recognize a bunch of the handles that are showing up in the help section (tech/performance).

It happens every Fall/Winter. And most of the threads ask "How can I make it faster without spending any money" I still learn from all of them.

one reason I still have mine is I have to drive out all the money I spent on it.
and I love that car..............it's 25 years old and reminds me of all that macho is supposed to be.
I remember when the 84 C4 came out......I just sat in my truck and stared at it for about a half hour. Didn't know anything about it, just stared.

I've posted more in the last few months here. Have owned my C4 for almost 2 years now. I am just starting to see who are the regulars and who are not.
Cheers,
Gary.

I am new here, really. I enjoy the willingness to help from all of the members. I am absolutley new to Corvettes. I have spent most of my life trying to go fast in a circle. Now that I have "matured", i wanted a nice street ride. i have an ongoing project, a 1960 Impala 4 door sedan and wanted something I could drive that was nice NOW. I have to go through the motor but my wife are BOTH very excited about the Corvette. Now that the holidays are over, I am going to start on the motor. I was thinking about building a big, fat motor but I will probably just put the L98 back in mostly stock... maybe a mild cam change. Very exscited about being a Corvette owner and very appreciative of all of the members on this forum.
Happy New Year!!

New here.. to C4's, but not to Vettes or forums for that matter.
I have had my 75C3 since 1992 (bought it right after Hurricane Andrew blew right through it, literally) and have since brought it back to a very nice ride.
I was able to keep the 75 and buy a 1993 40th Anniversary with 28800 miles without the wife sending me to the doghouse, so I guess life is pretty good.
I have done the Forum thing since 2000 with Lincolns and Jeeps, always with same screen name.
And yes, I know how to use the search and get my answers before I ask questions.
Happy 2012 for everyone.

No matter the subject of a thread they are worth reading. If it not a problem you have had or are currently having, you will probably pickup knowledge that you will use in the future when the problem does come up for you.
C4's are old - between 16 to 28 years, and old cars need much attention in one way or another to keep on the road.
The C4 may be old but they are definitely worth the effort. I got many compliments as I cruised the Rose Parade route this past weekend from the people camping out on the streets. Non-Vette people seemed to be intrigued with the C4.

And be sure to preface any thread having to do with oil, antifreeze, floor mats, air foils, electric superchargers, Crossfire mods, C5 vs C4, how to store car for the winter, etc with "OK, I did a search and....." so we know how thorough your search was.
