I got a few things for the vette, a new screwdriver set for the roll away, and a 2012 corvette calendar for the man cave

Melting Slicks
I got nothing for my Vette, it didn't need any accessories. I got some clothes and a couple gift cards. I had a very good time at my ex's family, I can't complain.

I Can't Be the Only One Who Thinks Optima Batteries Suck
I got a lump of coal. My Optima battery died while I was working on the '86 Christmas day. I had only been in the garage about 15 minutes and had the ignition on because I was checking something. Suddenly the radio went off. The dash showed the battery voltage at 9 volts and it dropped about 2 volts in 2 seconds. I didn't want to trust that battery for even one ride to the store to buy a new one. I put in the battery from my '03. Somehow it went from a 75 to a 78 size when the original Delco died, so it didn't fit very well, but a least it got me running again.
I checked the Optima warranty and it had passed the "three year free battery" deadline by 13 days. The previous Optima stranded me when it died suddenly after a similarly short life, so NEVER AGAIN!!!
I went to Sears today and bought a DieHard Platinum P3. It was on sale and a whole lot cheaper than the equivalent Odyssey 75-PC1230 (They're both made by EnerSys).

I know this is the C4 section, but I like conversation. I got a really nice photo of my vette framed. it was really cool. I like gifts like these more than anything. I also got a pic of my pewter 2002 camaro that was wrecked last summer. I am going to miss that beast.
here is the original photo. the framed one just made everything but the car black and white.

Santa gave me a poster print of my car done by a professional photographer who works for car magazines. Santa has yet to deliver my ECM but some say DHL will take over now.
