Default Here I go again...on my wat yo Kuwait for 1 yr

Well it seems I never get to drive my Vette. I got home from Iraq on Oct28th. While on vacation in Florida for the month of Nov I got a message reassigning me to Kuwait for 1 year starting in January. My wife and I have decided its time to retire after that and move to Florida. So in the next few days will be listing our Vettes for sale and all our collectables.
I have a Shinoda 91 coupe with new, never driven 383. She has a 87 conv that is like new. Also have 2 C4 bumper couches, etc...Keep you eyes out in For Sale area for items. Thanks to all things Corvette.

Well that bites! Hope things work out for you. Any thought of renting storage and parking the Vettes? A year under a cover won't be too bad for them, and they'd be there for you to come back to.

Default Be safe

My son is in Kuwait and in the infantry and is a lead driver going into Iraq to safely excort troops out. Since you just returned on Oct 28th, I didnt think they could or would send you back so soon? Are you National Guard or Regular Army?
Either way, what I told my son was to take care of himself and all his other brothers and sisters over there.

You are good. There is no threat in Kuwait, it is a combat zone therefore you will tax exempt.

Good luck and be safe.

And after that, hang it up and enjoy the fruits of your labor all these years. I'm glad it's Kuwait instead of Iraq or Afghanistan.

Florida is definitely a Vette state. Its just getting nice enough to cruise with the top off/down. Winter is great here, at least in JAX it doesnt rain much so blue skies and the temp is usually around 60-65* for the highs. With two military bases and lower land values its a very good place for retirees.

Thanks for your service and that of all our military!

Thanks guys, but I am not Military, I am Federal Gov't. Note to PLRX: Tax free status is for Military and Contractors, never Federal Employee's. We pay taxes on every nickel! Also I am going back to work the ammo I just moved from Iraq to Kuwait. Now we go prepare to use in Afghanistan or return to U.S.

Glad to hear your still moving, even if it is to Kuwait. I still have the 90 vette with the Shinoda body kit you sold me. Did you ever sell yours on ebay? I had a little medical problem called prostate cancer that has elimintated me from deploying again. I am going to miss that money, but not the associated hassles. Thanks for supporting our guys!

Corvette1990, sorry to hear of your problem. At least you caught it early.

When you retire, and come down here with all the sun, and car shows, here is our two local car sights, so make S Florida your home. Also might has well book mark them, so you can see what you are missing.
