It runs in my family as well. My dad bought his first one at 23, it was a1985. I went to a auction with my dad and he bought a '92 like it was no big deal. I said to myself "I've got to start saving." I have been saving since 2008. So I bought my '93, my first one, I'll be 17 in Decmber.

Bought my first one in 1974. A 68 silver coupe with a 327/300 horse. I traded a Datsun 240Z even up for it. I purchased my 11th one (94 convetible) about four months ago. Have had 68, 78 Pace, 63 Split, 65 conv, 65 conv, 66 conv, 93 conv, 95 coupe, 95 coupe, 98 coupe, and now a 94 conv. I love the C4s. I have also had nine 55 chevys, various GTOs, Chevelles, one 69 SS Camaro conv and a couple of street rods. I turn 62 on Christmas Eve. It has been a lifetime of car fever and a wonderful hobbie. I hope it will be the same for those that are purchasing when they are in their twenties. For all you young guys, you dont know what you missed when you missed the car culture of the 60s and 70s.

Just bought her in May at 47. First love was my Goldwing in 87, then my rock-crawling Jeep (still have) and now my 96 C4. Don't regret not getting one sooner, but I sure love this car now and having a blast. Got tired of wrenching, now enjoy polishing...slowing down I guess...

I was 41, got it a few weeks before my 42dn b-day. I'm 43 now and wish I'd been in a position to get one 20 years ago, but back then I'd have been to tempted to see how far down the loud pedal goes.
In those lean years I made due with a couple of 3rd gen Camaros, a 77 pimp-mobile (Grand Prix SJ...Orange metalflake, white vinyl seats, white landau top, 403V8) a couple of old school (air cooled) VW Bugs, and a 5.0 Mustang.

Bought mine in 09 at 21, now going on 24 in December. The Corvette fever bit me when I was about 12, in love with the car ever since. I had high expectations when I bought my 93. It has met them all and then some, I continue to be impressed by the capabilities of my Corvette, and all Corvettes for that matter.
