so yeah i'm on the hwy today and as i merge a Mustang is next to me and he hits it so i figured what the hell and change lanes right behind em and catch up. i see its not just a mustang but a S351 Saleen! well i kept up with em...... was i supposed to get my butt wooped or whaT?? i was driving in OD too i bet if i had left it in D i could gotten more speed to take off on em.
my friend and i were laughing cuz he would brake through turns i guess he was feeling his car starting to roll or something.

anyways how'd i do?
i kept up with em i never looked to see how fast we were going though.
oh and i am no racer this was perhaps my first time ever racing. so i'm no hot shot. just wanted to know if i was to lose or win or tie it off against this guy like i did?

He may have just been badged as a S351. Thats a popular thing to do. Had it been a true 351 with all conditions being equal(both drivers fully capable) you should have lost. But who knows, anything can happen on the street. The S351's handle rather well also. So there is no telling what you raced, may have just been a scared driver. Just be proud of it!!!

I HIGHLY doubt it was honestly real. Shoulda looked at the brake rotors/calipers. The REAL S351 have 13" front brakes with dual piston calipers, with BIG brakes and calipers in the back aswell. That's how I tell the real from fakies around here...cuz badging is REALLY popular.

Yes. I saw an awesome one at a local auto-x. Supercharged 351W. Yes, it had it's hood up. 13" brakes, real carbon fiber mirrors, etc.... Sweet sweet car. Ran like a bat out of hell and handled great. Quite the contender on the course.

No offense, but a real S351 should have handed you your buttox. Maybe he didn't downshift. Happens to me. I sometimes don't go to the right gear.

Like with this pesky S2000. I was in 3rd at 50mph. And let me tell you 3rd at 50mph is the WRONG gear to be in. He stayed with me till the motor spun up to where it should have been (around 4000rpm). Then from 4000RPM on up it was goooooooooooodbye.

The real Saleens are also numbered, look at the right side of the rear bumper, and there should be a number.......no number....It's a Ricer in disguise!
