Default Tried some different wheels today

I swapped my 85 wheels for some 94 wheels to see what it looks like. I think it looks better, but I don't know what I will wind up with. I might try a couple others, maybe some ZR1's or C5's. Who knows?

I used some 1.25" adapters that I had from another project.

The fronts with 8.5" wheels are the same outer edge position as the original 9.5" Z51 16". The back 9.5" are maybe about .25" further out than the original 9.5" wheels and are right at the edge of the body without sticking out.

I think if I use 9.5" wheels in front I would prefer about a .75" adapter, and probably a .75" or 1" adpater in back would be better. I just used what I had to try it.

I also checked to see if they would just bolt up. The do fit, but they are a little bit inboard of where I would want them by about an inch.

Do you know that those wheels are actually functional as they draw air across the brakes? I currently have ZR1 5 spokers on mine, but never sold my saw blades because I think they look cool. I put them back on once in a while.

Looks nice!!! I actually still have my saw blades too. I will interchange them too sometimes, but new tires on my new rims just feel so much softer ride.

Late C4 wheels always look good on early C4s.

They really do update your car. I have the black ZR-1's on my 86 and like them but, it is refreshing to see yours.

Your 85 looks great with those wheels. The scenery in the background around the car also is beautiful! I wish I had that much land around my home.

Surprising to myself, of the two, I like the originals. Maybe because the blades aren't as rounded as the newer style wheels designed to go with the more rounded bumpers

Also helps that your car appears to be a very well kept example and simply looks great as an original 85.
