Default 86 targa top wrench

Recently bought my 86 corvette and am missing the tool to take the top off. Anyone know where and for how much I can pick one up?

Yeah a long T40 and the appropriate adapters for a 1/4" drive rachet. Thats what you will get from a supplier at twice the local cost. The originals can br had and go between $20-30 on the auction site. I have one thats a little beat up but functional if your interested.

The original was a cheap ratchet with Corvette printed on the handle. Mine will not hold any socket to it. To me it is not worth the "Corvette Tax". Get a T-40 and a 1/4" ratchet from KMart/Sears.

Don't buy the Black and Decker power tool being advertised on fleabay that's supposed to work great! It' doesn't have the power to tighten the bolts down enough. I bought it and wasted my money!

How much would you sell it for?

No driver does. Wasn't meant to tighten down on the bolts.
If it was powerful enough, you'd run the risk of over tightening
That's what the collar lock on it is for

I used a Torx screwdriver set for quite awhile. I got lucky when I went to a junkyard to get a new targa top. They had the one with it. I'd get the one from parts123.com from above.
