You guys do realize that the speedometers on most vehicles tend to be very optimistic. I have hit 186 MPH (indicated) on my Hayabusa but when i checked my Garmin GPS it was only 175.

I'm a noob here but there are so many posts on this forum that it might be time to do some pruning...Just a suggestion...I have ran a forum before and I know what diligence it takes to maintain such a thing and this is a huge forum with valuable info for the viewing but it is hard to refine a search and find what you are looking for.
IN NO WAY AM I DISRESPECTING THESE FORUMS OR TRYING TO BE DEROGATORY IN ANY WAY...I HAVE UTMOST RESPECT FOR THOSE
MEMBERS THAT HAVE BEEN HERE FOR YEARS...THIS IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE FOR CORVETTE OWNERS!

I took my Stock 95 to 169mph around 5100rpm in 5th gear, it seemed near topped out. i was on flat, relatively newly paved, highway at around 0430 when no one was around. It felt pretty stable other than the engine screaming and the wind noise howling.
