Default Power Driver Seat

I have a 1987 coupe with just a power driver seat (where the controls are located in the center console). Problem is, the seat won't move. When I use the controls to try and adjust the seat, you can hear it click on and try to move the seat, but nothing actually happens. I was thinking that it could just be jammed on something, or maybe this is a more common problem.

Default

the transmission on those strips gears, and is replaceable, either by itself or as a complete seat mech.

I just did some more investigating and really haven't learned much. What is the black box on the drivers side under the drivers seat? It has 3 tubes coming off of it. When i press certain switches, it moves certain tubes, but nothing on the seat actually moves.

Default You have a bad seat transmission

These are a frequent problem. Rebuilt units can be purchased through most of the catalogs or Ebay. I bought a used one from ebay and got one from a forum member. The problem is actually a nylon piece that cracks/breaks. I had seen a rebuild kit, but not recently.
Not a big deal to swap out, just a pain in the wallet!
