Window Problem (w\ video)
I was driving home, heard a POP while rolling up my drivers side window, and now it refuses to open or close. I looked at the operation of the regulator and the window's attached fine and can be manually pulled up or down. The motor itself turns the armature, I can't figure out what is wrong, there's a video of the operation below.

Burning Brakes
The large half moon gear which the motor is moving--should be attached to the arm I'm seeing in the video--the arm appears to have broke loose/free of the gear. There should be two arms which work to raise and lower the glass sort of like scissors. You'll need to replace the regulator assembly. The large gear is spring loaded so use caution (keep fingers clear) when you remove the motor from the regulator.

That is exactly what I feared because the regulator is like $280. Do I have to worry about removing the motor because the regulators all seem to come with the motor.

Since motor and regulator come as a unit--no worries

window regulator
this can be fixed with a nut and bolt or new rivet , take a better look at it and you will see the rivet has worn out and you don't need a new regulator , you should be able to fix this for under $1.00--- look harder you will see the missing pivot rivet
