Trying to find parts for my 96 LT1
Trying to find two parts for my 96 LT1. Mounted in-line on the opti-spark vacuum hose (hose to manifold) their are two small plastic parts,
one is called a "CHECK VALVE" and the other is called a "CHECK VALVE/ FILTER". Both have barb fittings that slides into the vacuum hose. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase these parts, either new or used? I'm having no luck what so ever!
The complete vacuum line harness (GM part no. 12558921) has been discontinued by GM. I don't need the complete harness, only the two parts described.
Appreciate any help.

Do you know that you need both? I would think you could check the restrictor for function and actually you could check both.
An RC car fuel filter should likely work as a filter if you felt you needed a filter but as far as restriction I don't know, there's restrictors used in the boost gauge lines for nearly all "super-charged" cars, orifice sizes vary. There's an after-market also available from Dorman but with no filter.
I'd be tempted to try this GM 10207729 vacuum restrictor that would likely have a filter also.

Thanks for the info. When I purchased the car about 7 years ago it was missing. I plan to put a new water pump and opti spark in it this spring. I would like to have the new opti spark ventilated and connected to the proper vacuum harness to ensure it lasts.
I don't know much about the part, I have not even examined one close up. I only know that the vacuum line in the harness runs from the opti spark up into the top of the air intake inlet. It is my understanding that it was put on the 1995 and 1996 corvettes to keep the opti spark drier. I am really irritated with GM discontinuing the production and availability of parts and the lack of an aftermarket replacement.

Melting Slicks
a lot of that little stuff, check valves, filters is just generic; try looking for similar year items in emissions and HVAC, or air conditioning parts catalogs or at a local parts store; for instance on my 96, I replaced the filter you're looking for with a very small fuel filter which tucked up nicely under the plastic engine cover and the check valve was a generic check valve (looked identical) for an A/C system straight off the parts rack with all the other little doodads.

Last year I discovered that one of the pulleys had cut through one of the Opti purge hoses on my 96'. I was going to just replace it but once I saw how hard that was to get to I just decided to cut out the bad section and connect the two pieces with a vacuum hose barbed connector. I was in the "Help" parts section at Advancedautoparts looking for the correct sized barbed connector and found an identical check valve and inline filter to the ones in the purge hose. I had them in my pocket just incase I could find them. I had looked for both parts on their internet site but they do not have the filter listed, but did show a check valve that looked close. The "Help" section is just a bunch of those odd little pieces that you always seem to need. Before you spend big bucks and lots of time just swing in and see what your local parts store has. I believe both Autozone and AdvancedAutoParts have the "Help" sections.
