You can't put a bench seat in a corvette.... Do you even own a C4? I highly doubt that anyone who has ever even set in a C4 would think it possible to install a bench seat.
What do you think in under the center console? Its not raised up so high for looks..... thats where the transmission, drive shaft, exhaust, etc is.... You would either have to raise up the car to 4x4 heights, or convert it to front wheel drive.
Either way, I don't feed the

C'mon guys we are here to help each other. Here is what you can do. Pull the seats so that you can re-use the both seat rails. Like someone else already said that hump in the middle is for the trans, driveshaft, and exhaust. Being that money is no object. You will need to find a Vega coupe and pull the rear seat. You will need a fabricator to convert it using your original bucket seat rails. Next you will need to remove the transmission, driveshaft and exhaust. Again a good fabricator can cut out all of the unnecessary flooring that housed the running gear. Now once back together the car will no longer drive but you should have a bench seat.

Hey. When you are done modding your 94 Vette with a bench seat, I would like some of those plush 75 Caddy seats in my 94 Vette with a 6spd manual. I like the 18 way adjustablility. I would prefer leather too.
I can't say that money is no object but I can get the seats for $400. Please do a write up on how you do it with picturers so I can do mine.
Thanks

I've done it! First you need to get some 2x4's and nails. Once you tear the seats out, you'll need to pour a concrete foundation to mount a park bench on but low enough to clear the roof. Now doesn't this sound stupid?

While you're at it, I suggest adding rear seats too...you can use the storage bins for that, but will need to remount the ABS module somewhere...I suggest hanging that from the rear hatch.

Oh, common guys... how hard can it be?
First you remove the Targa top. After all, you don't need it and you're going to need the extra head room
anyways.
(Besides we all know that you don't drive a Corvette in the rain!)
And you can just wear a hat if the sun gets too hot!
Second, you go to a junk yard and pickup a bench seat from either an S10 or Ranger.
( I prefer the Ranger because the mount is taller. Should fit right over the hump.)
Also pickup a steering column from and old Mack Truck (get the longest one you can).
If that doesn't work, just pick up one from a John Deere tractor and cut it to fit!!
You're also going to need some pedal extensions, so make sure you pick up some 4x4's and cut them to the right length so you will be able to depress the pedals. Oh, and get some radiator clamps to hold them on the pedals!
And, for some reason if you do get caught in the rain, just have the middle passenger hold one of those big patio umbrellas over everyones heads.
One last thing. Make sure everyone wears a motorcycle helmet with a face mask. (You'll want to avoid the bugs in your teeth)
See. It's simple!

11. Install a road draft tube. (don't need all that emissions stuff anyway)
Besides, when the rings start to wear out you really don't want all that
oil inside the engine compartment.
(Hey Mike. Glad to see you are better!!)

One more like this, and the posse will ride into town. Be advised.
