500HP C4 VettaRossa Super Rare
Call Dan at 650-714-2674 1986 Corvette Vetta Rossa - 25,000 or best offer.
Yes the year is correct, 1986 Vetta Rossa (see photos) built BEFORE the 1989 Vettarossa car kit. Word has it there was a Vettarossa Company in Nevada that produced 200 of these cars before they went out of business. We can't find any notation on the Internet, if you have more info about this company I would like to hear from you.
Features: Vetta Rossa N.O.S system (see photo), P315-402R16 race tires, 500 HP Engine, 72,157 orig. miles (7,000 on rebuild), 1G+ Turning Force, Hydrolic front lift.
Searching the Internet we found the car to look more like similar Chev.Corvette "Vettarossa" conversion to Ferrari Testarossa
Notable wear: missing driver door trim, crack in sun rook, torn drivers seat, rear hatch shocks need work.

I actually like the red one. Who knows...it might really have a chance of bringing $25k -- depending on the motor. The craigslist ad is an outright scam. $2.5k on a good day. But I wouldn't take it for free.

So that's where this owner at Funfest '09 got his wing idea?

thats an ACI kit, actually from two different kits, possibly three. I have the rear bumper on my 87 and the front is one of the stalker bumpers. Thats also an ACI wing. The black panel in the rear bumper is a push bar for racing cars. Door panels seem to be consistent with the stalker. That rear window change is also sold by a few of the venders on this site. A company called Tracy Performance also either makes or sells those kits. S'pose someone cloned one? IMHO thats a mis match of parts with a hood emblem. dont think it worth the asking price. Hope this helps.

There was a car similar to the red one on eBay not too long ago. Didn't look like a bad conversion, but its still a conversion. You can tell its still a C4, the headlight doors and the interior give it away. The ones built on the Fiero are closer to the cars they replicate in my opinion. I'm not really a fan of the replicars or conversion kits as most look poor when finished and they're not really worth the money to have a professional assemble. I did once see a C3 with the McBurnie Daytona body on it and it was almost spot on to the real Ferrari Daytona. Someone went to a lot of trouble of installing all the correct badges, emblems, lights, interior pieces, etc. to replicate an early 70's Daytona. I thought that was a good job but it must have cost a small fortune.
