...until I get it painted, that is. But hey, when you have a chance to get a hardtop in good condition at a good price you don't quibble about the color.

Or, I suppose I could wait until the holiday season and get a place of honor in the municipal Christmas parade.

And put the wheels on the correct side of the car....
Oh, no, I have them that way for a very specific scientific reason. My carefully calibrated measurements of air temperatures at various heights above the road surface indicates that moving the air scoop function of these wheels to the top of the arc rather than the bottom results in air intake cooler by 0.33 degrees C. As I am sure you realize, this critical difference can mean the difference between effective braking on one hand and total brake failure resulting in certain death on the other.

I consider it highly irresponsible for anyone to mount their wheels the other way.

But next time at the tire shop I'll watch the mounting procedure instead of reading Motor Trend.

Congratulations on the top and if I had a vert I'd be happy to get one no matter the color was. The vert with the hard top is very cool so it's going to look great when you get that sprayed.

A photo of any Vette outside with no snow around is beautiful.

Thanks for the nice words. I neglected to mention how pleased I am with how much the car tightened up with the hardtop in place. The pronounced cowl shake typical of 'verts is significantly reduced, even more than I had hoped for.

It's a keeper. A seasonal keeper, of course. I intend to take it off for summer use, put it on for the rainy/cold season....if we ever have one again. The warm, sunny weather you see in the pic has been around for about a month now with only one brief rainy spell, very unusual for this area in Jan/Feb.

Nice find indeed. I looked for 2 years before I found a bright red top for my vert. Now that I see yours I'll be back on the trail looking for a polo one.

I would leave it...you can qualify for the following:

February (Valentines Day)- Red(no DRM)
March (St. Patties)- Polo Green
July (Stars and Stripes)- Stripes, Flames, Custom Paint jobs

August (Vacation Season)- Topless- All Verts (beaches, or Vettes)
November (Turkey Day)- Biege, Browns, 2 tone (earthtones)
