I really dig the 35ths. They've got me wanting white wheels on one of my projects. Are there any convertible 35th tributes?

Are there any convertible 35th tributes?

The 35th anniversary option package (RPO Z01) was offered only on coupes.

Your wheels are on backwards.

Wow, your right. I had not noticed. I had to go back and look at some other c4s. I sold an 85 that had the same rims.... I am going to look at some old pix to see if those were on right. They look to me as if they could go either way, but I know some are directional. Thanks for the heads up. I just brought the car home Saturday and threw the cover on it.

So I went out to check out my wheels last night and the tires were put on backwards. The tires are going in the correct rotation, but the rims are backwards. So what would you guys do? Does this effect anything like brake cooling? For someone that does not know the rim, I think one cannot tell.
Thanks

Have them put on properly. Every c-4 owner will know they are wrong.

I got a 35th and I could not keep it original or keep it as a garage queen. granted I have the correct wheels and engine in storage. but I love the way the black Z06 wheels look on it. and with the 383 in it, it goes like nothing else.

I'm going to hide before the 35th purist get me.

I asked my Wife for a one word description of your 35th. She said "Wrong"
I was thinking more colorfully.
But it is Your Vette and that is the most important thing.
If you ever want to get rid of the original wheels, let me know.

Nice article!! I have had my 35th for almost 10yrs and get tons of comments on it. My car is #1847 out of 2050 with @ 36k miles on it. Im a bit biased but I feel the 35th is one of the most visually striking C4's ever produced. With the roof off on a bright sunny day the car looks amazing!! The white rims are a bit of a pain to keep clean but they make the car. I always wanted one since I sold a 35th new in 1988 to an attorney in NY. I used to work for a Chevy dealer way back when. I told the attorney Im going to get one of these one day. I got out of the car biz shortly after that and 13 yrs later I got mine and most likely will never part with it!!!

While my 88's wheels are on correctly I purposely installed the wheels on my 95 backwards just to be diffferent and it took almost 2 years before someone had the nerve to acually tell me...LOL

What Id like to know is why one of the 2 owners that owned my ANC painted the metal trim around the roof panel white ??? its a small thing that bugs me since I do not know if I should leave it alone or repaint it black...

The 35th just needs to be left alone ...its not all that rare but definitely different..why mod its looks in any way...

Anyone know how many Z51 vs Z52 35th anniversary's were made with the 4+3 manual?

I know only 1309 z51's were made all together in '88 only available in manuals after '86. But how many 35th Z01 's came with the rpo z51 suspension?

I think I found the answer to my question. According to the Z01 option list. The z52 came with the Z01 35th package, manual or auto. The Z51 was not an option even with the 4+3.

I have had people tell me in the past tell me that their 35th anny 4 + 3 had the z51 suspension. They must of been mistaken right? Anyone?

Hello Fellow 35th anniversary aficionados, I have #479 with less than 8300 original miles on it. Bought her with 5700 miles on her about eight years ago.
Car is all original in great shape, sits in my garage and comes out to play a few sunny days a year.

Enjoy! Questions or comments are always welcome.
Very nice piece...

$9000.
Sounds like an excellent price if it was in pristene condition.
Yesterday I drove home (from MD) my replacement #658 with 47k miles. Got the dealer down from $9k to $8.2k. Though she needs weather stripping, EGR repair, LH headlight case and air filter assy, the paint & interior are pristene, save for the steering wheel.

They must of been mistaken right? Anyone?
That is correct sir, only Z52 came with the Z01 package.
