1995 corvette questions
LT1...just changed to K&N oil filter and it changed the oil pressure quite a bit. Did this less pressure bother anyone else when changing? Also, muffler change from stock to magnaflow....is there any noticeable changes in horsepower?

You must have had a plugged/bad oil filter. The K&N should be no different than any other. Baring a problem with the old muffler, other than sound it the magnaflow shouldn't make a noticeable difference. The LT1's came with pretty low restrictive mufflers, exhaust for that matter.

You have an oil pressure gage. What does it read when you start up the car? 10 min later when the car is at idle what does it read? When starting it should be 60+, at idle when the oil is warmed up, it should be 25+.
Also put a fresh air filter in the car ....and btw a paper one is just fine you don't really need those expensive oil covered foam ones.
The change in exhaust is not going to increase your hp unless you have a highly modified engine because your stock dual exhaust system is not very restrictive as it came from the factory .... but you may notice a drone while driving the car. Use the search function and look up exhaust systems.
95 is a great year

What was and what is your oil pressure now??
Mine runs at the first mark when hot,I believe its 20 and just over half way when cold 45 ish I think.I use a pure 1 filter.
I have 75 K on my car and use 5w-30 mobil 1 oil

Polo anyone?
We Polos have to stick together! I can't weigh on on oil pressure, except that it's a good thing to have!! I believe that the Mobil 1 you use will do a great job under most circumstances, no matter what filter you use.
But with respect to mufflers, I can't hear my exhaust because of the noise I get from my Sumitomo tires.

If you really want to hear the exhaust, put some muffler eliminators on. Easy to do...they go in exactly as the mufflers do....takes under an hour to put in...unless you have the new mufflers welded on of course.
Have a set sitting in a box if interested.

I've been using K&N oil filters for many yrs, never noticed a down side to em.
I had Magnaflows on my 95 LT1 and on my 96 LT4 up until recently. There was a seat of the pants improvement in performance in both cars but it was slight. Never dynoed either car. They did look great though. On the LT4 I ultimately replaced them with a chambered exhaust from Corvette Central because the magnaflows weren't loud enough for me.
