Matte black sawblades (pictures!)
1) I realize the rest of the car needs a wash and the tires need some armor all.
2) I plan on getting nut covers in matching red.

While chrome would also look nice, I'm not much of a chrome fan.
I've also considered redding the inside of the blade-fins, but since it's cast face, not machined face, it'd be difficult to tape/decide and I'm not sure it would look as good as I want it to.
For what it's worth, I'm happy with the matte black/gloss red

EXACTLY what I keep debating on doing and that pic is what finally convinced me I like it. Now that I have a second car I may go ahead and actually do that before snow comes down. My clear coat is peeling so I may go ahead and finally do it, re-do the whole wheel. Not sure what I'd do to refresh the whole thing.
Photoshop I did. Looks like they polished the face on this.

PS pr0zac I see you went the original route with zr-1 wheels

Having seen these in person I can say the pics don't do it justice - much better "live". A little sheen (not a full "shine") on the tires and it would improve quite a bit. For reference, I'm usually not a fan of black wheels and I don't like chrome at all.

My vote is no. Every beat up ricer I see running around these days have wheels that look like this. Takes away from the classiness of the car IMHO. maybe spray bomb the rest of the car flat black now?

Matte or Semi-Gloss. That's a great idea for when it's next sprayed.

Good thing about doing it yourself, you can do basically what you want. If you want em shinny, just spray some gloss clearcoat on em.
I like the wheel in post #8.
