Stop text messaging!
Why do so many people reply or post here as if they were text messaging in traffic? The post becomes very hard to figure out what they need or what information they are looking for. Please take the time to spell correctly and use decent grammer so the post is more intellagable to many of us. I guess you can tell I can't stand to see so many people texting anymore and every where. Even in church! I know it's the way of the future and all, but I say, just slow down a bit. The replies may be more of what you are looking for.

Without sounding like a " Grumpy old man ( accepted ) , that is the way
Generation X,Y, Z ( what ever is in flavor this week ) communicate all the time so they think no different when they come here.
Working out what they are actually asking from a 500 word post with no punctuation , capitals and txt abbreviations is a job in itself

People text because it removes the emotion from the conversation. You have better control over what you want the other person to know.
They even make an application for our phone so you can talk to it and it will convert it to text and when it gets a text it reads it to you.

although it takes emotion out, sarcasm among other things does not transfer and can get people into trouble. I do text but hate it really. If it's more than 2 text messages pick up the phone and call. As for text lingo I HATE it. Never use it, don't care how much of a rush I'm in.
By the way I'm 23 and hate the fact I am in this "XYZ" Generation Rodj referred to. However fortunately there are a few of us that were raised by intelligent parents who weren't hippy stoners.
As bad as we are, it was the 60's gen that ruined it and started the downward turn by "tolerating" certain lifestyle choices that snowballed to our generation.
100% agree, if you can't take the 2 seconds to respond with proper English, you are not worthy to drive a corvette, and shouldn't be welcome here.

Our Plant Manager has his Blackberry on his belt and a clipboard in his hand all the time. Many times I have seen him walking down an isle clip board under his arm and concentrating on his Blackberry screen, totally oblivious to the manufacturing operations going on around him. We all give him a wide berth and wait for him to walk into a wall.
