The MR2 was so much better than the fiero. Fieros might have sold a little better if they didn't use the same 4 cylinder that USPS uses in their mail trucks (the iron duke).
you could trick people to come out at lunchtime to check their mail if you drove a 4 cyl fiero in front of the house, stopped, and then took off again.
WTF is it with some people this week. Is it bring back 80s car week?
The Fiero, the SVO, 83 CFI. You trolls are something else...
If you got a beef with a corporation make a formal complaint. Are you saying that today, the Pontiac G8 is detuned because it is faster than the Z06? GTFOOH

Let me guess, by 10:00PM a new thread about 80s BS would come up. You noobs, trolls and others live with it, there is no 83 CFI and the C5 is better than C4s.
I had a 2.8 in an 85 Camaro, and got a turn behind the wheel of a Fiero GT with one. Both nice cars, reasonably quick, but no way in heck would that motor be truly fast in any car that wasn't falling off a cliff. You must have gotten hold of some good chit to buy that story.
I used to have a 1987 Cavalier Z24 with that 2.8L and that was rated 0-60 in 7.8 seconds and with the speed limiter, you were topped out at 116.

That was part of the conspiracy. So that you wouldn't know the 2.8L was detuned in the Fiero, they detuned it in every car thereafter as well. So while you think the 2.8L was never rated at more than about 135hp, the reality is made 637hp when not detuned. GM still hasn't come clean about it because it would be faster than the new ZR1.
They also went all "Mission Impossible" and made sure the engines would self-destruct after use, thereby disposing of all the evidence.
