The usual reason for running adapters is to position the wheel back in the stock location so the car looks the same as stock

If I wanted wheels that stuck out of the rear fenders I would have bought a Jeep

The story behind this was that Chris needed to borrow tires to continue racing that day, these were the only ones available to borrow. May not look pretty but it got the job done.

Flush with the fender=looks the best.

I can't stand tires that stick beyond the fenders.

Please don't do that to a vette.. just wrong.
Buy some 315 tires or larger if you have to have 'em stick out

In some states its illegal for the tires to stick out past the wheel wells. Also with the tires sticking out the paint will be damaged by rocks coming off the wheels...WW

I'll feel better if I imagine that it's all a photoshop trick.

Glad he got to race it...

Trucks are a whole 'nother story.

i just can't stand that "look" on sports cars. there's a few mustangs at the local track that swap out wheels [with slicks] that sit like that, they look ridiculous. I dare say it looks even worse on a corvette.

When I bought my old ARE's I wanted to run a stretched tire (for a specific style I was going for, think 240sx) and had to run a 1.5" spacer in the rear for it to sit flush and look right.

I know most of you just drop dead when you saw my exhaust I'm Japanese so I can get away with it, if you look at some of the cars in the background and my other cars, turbo Eclipses, 300ZX twin turbos, 350Zs blah blah. And before you guys have a heart attack it's just exhaust for cryin out loud hahaha a few bolts and the stockers go right back on when I wanna look serious.

Any videos of how it sounds? I've always wondered what they would sound like on a V8.

I heard one and it sounded like a ricer. As you thought. Coffee cans.

I don't understand what you mean. It doesn't matter what exhaust you put on what car, there's no way to make a V8 sound like an I4...

My guess would be that it doesn't sound bad at all.
