Edelbrock shock arrived today
I have to say WOW at these things! These are the nicest shocks I've ever bought. The tubes are like truck shocks - a full 1 7/8" in diameter. The lugs are fully welded, the bushings are poly - everything about these is just top-notch.
I'm going to install them now and maybe take a test drive over to the dealer to order some door lock parts if I have time.
I've included a pic with an old license for an idea of how beefy these ****** are:

I plan on buying a new set of shocks very soon, let me know what you think of them once they're
installed.

I'd be curious to know how you like them also.
I have those Edelbrock Performer shocks on my truck (lowered 2/4) and like them.

Installed already
I have to say, that was THE easiest shock install I've done in 2 decades. An 18mm socket and an 18mm box wrench are all the tools needed. The Edelbrock shocks seems to be about 1" shorter than the KYB's. To make the install easy, I just pulled the pad off my floor jack, put the flat surface under the leaf spring as far outboard as I could and jacked the car high enough to get the tire off the ground. Pulled the wheel, removed the old shock, installed the new and put the wheel back on.
So easy a caveman could do it
Of course, now that I've had a good look at the rear bushings.........

Just took it for a test drive - my wife insisted I try them out. Just another reason I love her!
The car rides much better than it did before and also whipped through a freeway ramp with much more stability than before. Tar strips and other irregularities on surface streets now feel like they would in a "normal" car.
Now I guess I need to spend $300 on the matching fronts
I gotta say, it's startin' to feel like what I expect a Vette to drive like - I'm a happy happy camper.

I drove it to work yesterday (21 miles each way), plus over to Corvette Clinic and it was really nice. Smooth for regular driving, but very controlled.
I havne't driven a C4 with other shocks so I can't say these are better or worse than the other brands, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find a shock that works better than this.

Had a set of those in my 96 Imp SS they were great. Waiting for the shocks to wear out on the 92 or 93 so I can replace them with the Edelbrocks. Jegs and Summit have them on sale Occasionally.
