Default New Radio install: AVH-P3200BT

I don't post too much but I figured I'd share my new upgrade from the bose HU....a Pioneer AVH-P3200BT DVD recevier with bluetooth, USB, and SD memory slot.

Its awesome! Makes the car look good!
Plus the background is whatever jpeg I want it to be!
Now it is a corvette racing logo.

Enjoy...

Very nice! I'm seriously considering that as a future mod.

That's looks great. Did you change out the Bose speakers, wires, etc?

That was my ghetto-home-made air dam to see if I wanted to buy the real thing. I removed it. It ran 2-3 degree lower. When the engine was up in temperature, it did help cool the temperatures faster. I figured that wasn't worth the $$$ that the air dam cost.

No, I left the wires from the AMP (under pass seat) to speakers.

I'm considering this unit for my C6. Does the unit perform well? Do the JPEG pictures scroll as a "screensaver" or you just set 1 as a background? Did it improve the sound of your system?

Open to your feedback. Thanks.

I really like the unit so far. The background is set as 1 background image (more $$ unit with HDD could do more). I wish it would show album art for MP3 (it does for iPOD though). Minor things (esp for the price)...so far I really like the unit. I've actually used the SD memory slot a lot more than I thought (it is limited to 2GB though).

It DID improve the sound of my systems big time. Although, that was because it replaced a 14 year old BOSE head unit. I like pioneer units for their 4V preouts. In this case, it has a good EQ for adjusting sound settings.

The touch screen and look is what the corvette should have come with...if they had that in '96!

Hey man, good job! I got (almost) the same one. Mine didn't have bluetooth but I'm not concerned, it's the same 3200 though.

Try this though: Check out this video. You can use a 32GB SD card. So it does use more of the card but I have found out it is finicky about number of files. For example, I have about 2000 songs I shuffle through. If I put all those in one directory, it won't read/play them, maybe about 200 or so. I had to put them in diff folders like all A artists in 'A' folder, etc. Now in 26 folders, it reads them all.

And check out this video: Here you can install a relay to see media without emer brake hookup. It works like a charm.
