Rear window in 07
The rear window in the 2007 chevrolet corvette has a design flaw and causes distortion to the point it makes one dizzy when looking through the rear view mirror. the window has been replaced twice by the dealership, however they state they will no longer do anything any more about it. this distortion is found in all of the corvettes at the dealership, the regional manager looked at them and has said they will not do anything more, as it appears it is the problem lies in the design. no where in the owner's manual, advertisements, or such does it list this vehicle has a distorted rear window due to it being curved. when driving this vehicle and looking in the rear view mirror, one can not identify vehicles or how close they are to my car and i have almost had several accidents with this car due to the problem. one can not look through the rear view mirror through the rear window, for any length of time before dizziness and headaches occur. this is a safety issue and needs to be addressed immediately. at night the glare of headlights make it even worse. there are many other curved windows that do not have the distortion.

Vettes have had multi curve rear glass since the C2's and so have many other cars. I wonder why there is suddenly a problem with the view through the new one? Are they making our car glass Off Continent now too?

I use the side mirrors anyway. I guess if it's that much of a problem, you should stop driving the car and sell it. What with the inherant design flaw and all, I could probably bail you out for, say, $15k? Keep me in mind if you decide to bail.

I, too, do not know why this is in the C-4 section, however... I am wondering if something is wrong with your eyesight. Not to be flippant, but I wear glasses, and cannot look at a tank of salt water fish. Something in the salt water (I think) makes me feel dizzy and my eyes begin to hurt. Not a bad thing, just an odd thing. Maybe something similar is happening when you look out your back window?

Big Wave, your 2007 is considered a C-6 and you may have more response if you post in the C-6 section. That said, this C-4 section has the smartest, funniest, most helpful, easy-goingest, fastest and best Corvette owners of any generation. So we don't care you have a C-6, stick around, we'll try to help (some C-4 guys here also have C-6's) and you can dish out and receive abuse and ribbing to your heart's content.

i have an 08 coupe, and while there is some distortion, i've never had any of the issues that the OP has with the C6 generation. in fact, he's the first one i"ve heard really complaining about the distortion. besides being in the wrong section, sounds to me he's the type to pi$$ and moan about everything. i've got to wonder just how much time he spends looking through the rear view mirror while driving, to become dizzy and get a headach? sounds like there is something more going on here...
