Response To A Garage Queen Owner
We both have 1990 Corvette convertables:
He asked: how many miles on your Vette?
I responded: 91,000.
He said: I only have 7,500 on mine.
I said: that's just like have a gorgeous wife and not getting any lovin.

141K+ on my 91. Some of them hard (TT track time). As an investment he's lost a lot of money and not gotten a thrill out of it. I can see doing that stuff with special edition cars, but a standard vette is made to be driven!

I agree. Having a nice car you don't drive is like having a hot wife you don't bang. Yeah, I've heard the argument that both are fun to just look at......but either way, if you don't do the deed with it, someone else eventually will.

Some guys are different. For them it's a "pride of ownership" thing. Fine with me, just not how I do things. I own the car, it doesn't own me. I'm the guy who [if he had the money] would buy the 67 Corvette 100 point/Bloomington Gold certified car at Barrett-Jackson, and drive the sumbitch back home to South Florida...

I bought a '95 with 10K last fall - my first Corvette. At first I was afraid to use it up, it was so pretty. It now has 16K, is insured for "pleasure use only" at less than 3500 miles per year. Don't tell my insurance guy. I disagree with the guy who says some cars aren't special. They're Corvettes, for pete's sake. They're all special, especially when you're driving them. BTW - my wife is pretty, too.

The good thing is, if you have a bunch of nice cars, maybe a Harley, pickup and a boat, too, you don't can't possibly put a bunch of miles on all of them, they all stay nice. You can only drive one at a time!

If you need someone to come over and drive one ore two of those Mopars around, you know, keep the oil moving, blow the dust out, or what ever, let me know! Had a few Mopar's myself and always loved them. 69 440-Roadrunner, 67 383-Cuda. You're a lucky guy for sure.

I have 74k on mine and I will put it up against any low mile car, and bet you can't tell which is the low mile car.....
These things were made to be driven.......

I find it the opposite. Having several modified nice vehicles means something always needs tweaked, batteries going down from not being driven, never being able to keep them all clean for more than a few days etc. Even in the garage it seems like as soon as they are clean and before you can even put the cover on, dust and small bugs start settling on them.
