Thinking back, I swear I've seen that exact same vette for sale for $50K.
Rings a bell, cause I was trying to get a 78 pace car but couldn't find what I wanted in my price range...I remember that car..the miles, the plastic on the seats ect.
Dangit James, you should have brought your checkbook!! According to the BG results on the Mecum website, that baby sold on Saturday for $25k!!
That '78 C3 pace car has been one of my favorites for a long time. I love the black/silver, those "slot" rims & the red pinstriping. If I ever decide to pick up a C3, a '78 pace car will be the one I get!
I also spy in the background a '93 40th Anniversary ZR-1. Sweet!
Someone please drive this car already. Let her live a lil....

I know how you feel. It IS nice to see these "Time Capsule" Corvettes...but, on the other hand, it's kinda sad to know they've never been driven/enjoyed by anyone.
Thank you for sharing the pictures. I haven't been to that show in 3 years. Many good memories of when I did go though. Great people, awesome cars. Bloomington Gold is my favorite Corvette show because I like seeing ALL years of Corvette... some of the other big shows are mostly C4 C5 C6's.
