Has anyone tried to get antique insurance for their early C4?

I use J.C. Taylor Insurance on my 85. Declared value of $11,000.00 No deductables. $130.00 full coverage year round. I just had to show the car was in original condition. In other words, it was not altered or heavily modified. I've used them for years with no problems.

Adam and NCM all the way! I insured 2 Vettes, 92 and 98. Don't like to give figures since it can vary from state to state and other choices, but I will say I left American Collectors insuring just the 92, and have both cars insured for $40 more (annual), agreed values and PL/PD matching my DDs policies.
NCM is a great way to go, helps support the museum and Adam is a great guy, easy to work with.

You might want to check into AAA. I've got my 84 insured thru them under classic car insurance, full coverage, agreed value of 7K, no mileage constraints, just has to be garaged. $67/yr

Will Adam and NCM cover cars other than the vettes? ( i being a poor barely gradjeated from n00bism vette guy only have 1 vette).. but the 38 dodge and 69 javelin need coverage as well.

Not sure to what level you are looking for, but this is full coverage insurance with an Agreed Value. Please call if you have specific questions.
Thanks!!

I just called NCM INS AGENCY for a quote and was told im only insured to and from car shows. I do not drive it very much, go to get an ice cream or to the golf course, or run to the store. I'm told it is not corvered for my type of driving. Prices are very good tho.

I had my '65 coupe insured with American Collectors when I owned the car from '91 to '01. I just got a '96 and called them about it. They initially said it had to be 25 years old to insure with them, but then came back and said they'd insure it anyway. Same restrictions as the '65; can't be a daily driver, less than 2,500 miles per year, etc. $216/year.

I want to make sure I heard this correctly. The NCM insurance only covers you while driving from home to a show?

Pleasure use is going out for a nice drive, taking your wife to dinner, car shows, club events, parades....

What I put in bold is what is throwing it off for you. These are not insurable risks for us. We do not mind pleasure use at all, but parking lots = door dings, shopping carts on the loose, etc. Golf Courses = flying *****, kids or adults on golf carts driving wild, golf bags that are swinging everywhere...(avid golfer here)......

Adam,
If you opt for the plan where you can drive to work occasionally, do you also get coverage for the occasional "errand?" Obviously work will have a parking lot, so I dont see a difference. Also, how do other drivers factor in? If i'm taking a pleasure drive with my brother, can I let him drive?
(Does it matter if we call and sign up through you or just use the website?)

Not correct! We will not insure vehicles that are used for "errands". We highly encourage pleasure use, but not to golf courses, softball practice, grocery store, mall, etc.

I also enjoy driving it to work on nice days, so you insurance is not for me. Thanks
