Thanks, I am surprised nobody has picked up on the tag's yet....they are the only set in this state....that being Maryland. Okay I will just let this thread die and re-post when I am done with all my little improvements. I was just so excited to finally get these on and change the look of the car.

Stay in tune....

Yeah, on a sunny day the green just jumps off the car...but on a very dark day or at night, people often make the mistake that its black. Best of both worlds I guess.

Here is a before photo on a brighter day....

I had thought about your set up, but was cautioned by AR I would have to go that route as well....plus...these are New F1's all the way around...and going to 18" rears would mean new tires. Hey, they ain't cheap...so I just stayed with the stock size wheels. I think I may lower the car now an 1" as well.

Stay in tune...
Maybe something like these...

Default I am confused!

I love the look of the Torq Thrust IIs and I am looking to order a set for my Ruby Red 93 but, the numbers you list for the sizes - as well as ZR1 sizes listed on line - do not compute with the explanation for figuring back spacing and off-set. E.g., 11" rear wheel. 11" X 25.4 = 279mm divide by two = 139.7mm to the center of the wheel. 7.4" X 25.4 = 187.96mm backspacing. Subtract 139.7 from 187.96 = 48.26mm off-set, not 36mm.

I am obviously missing something in the formula. I would sincerely appreciate it if someone can enlighten me. I'm not flush enough that I can afford to spend $1,600. on a set of - non-returnable - wheels that won't fit my car.

Thanks - in advance.

It looks stunning, I was really torn between the black GS a molds and torq thrust M's but I did not want to buy 4 new tires (I guess Im a cheap ***). This makes me second guess my decision....

Good Job

Default Thanks Gregg

Thanks for the PM Gregg. I talked to Mike at Wheel Pro and he put me in touch with their representative in Fort Worth. I have a set on order. I'll post pictures when I get them mounted. Still some confusion about backspacing -vs- off-set but, I ordered them in the ZR1 sizes. 17X9.5 with 7.4 backspacing and 17X11 with 7.4 backspacing. I have a friend with a 94 with the ZR1 wheels and they fit well.

Thanks again.

Les

In your OP, you said "I know it's filthy...", then I saw the pics. I thought to myself "WTF. This thing's not dirty!".

Now, I find out it's green -- not black. Guess it really was dirty!

Oh yeah....Love the friggin' sh[t outta those wheels!!!!

Gregg,

That is a fantastic looking car. I love the color. My wife and I had an 01 coupe and 01 convertible, both dark green metalic with tan interior. We sold them both to get the silver 08. I sold the vert to a friend and, every time I see it, I kick myself for letting it go. But......, I do like this Ruby 93.

Thanks Les,

Those two 01's are very pretty. My GMC truck is Silver...I actually thought about painting the Z to match....but that would have just de-valued the car. Good luck with your wheels...Mike is a grest guy to work with. If, you need more answers to any questions you may have concerning the off-set / backspace etc...shoot me a PM. Or, better still, talk with Shannon @ Wheels Pro's...he's the manager and he took the time to break down all the order numbers for me and he had my correct wheels here in no time. Don't forget to post pic's when you get them on....they should look very nice!
