Is that a turbo in the rear? Does that create a lot of lag? It would need oil and coolant plumbed to it there?

Not yet however after we have a successful run of LT1/4 sales we plan on looking at the L98.

Yes the turbo is the rear and NO on any appreciable lag. The boost feeds in nicely.

The oil does get plumed from the engine to the turbo and then returns to the valve cover.

Cheers,
RH

That looks like a really setup. Not only did you use the right year you used the correct color.

1) How many miles did you put on the stock motor before you went to the forged? (My trans is already built to take 400+ rwhp).

2) Are you running stock exhaust manifolds or long tube headers?

3) What drivability issues might one expect in a daily commuter?

4) Is there yet any provision for mufflers or is this basically an "off road" setup?

We put 3500 miles on the stock motor. The trans didn't fair too well during an autocross event so we rebuilt it and put in a 2500 stall converter.

Stock exhaust manifolds are required

I drove it the first 3000 miles. The only issue I had was constantly winding her out to hear the turbo sing followed by the blow-off valve other than that, it's just as drivable as the stock car.

It's not an off road setup. The high flow CAT's and the Turbo keep her mellow enough for the street or highway. I drove her from Las Vegas to Breckenridge, CO a few years back with my wife. My wife is very critical of noisy rides and she didn't complain at all. Matter of fact, she wants the same setup for her daily driver.

Cheers,
RH

Quick way to respectable power, nice job. This has been one heck of a commitment/project remember when it was started.

Should sell a bunch of these
