So the guy asks, "Can I have $2 for a sandwich?" to which I reply, "Let me see the sandwich first!"

Im gonna take a different view here and I know its not everyone, but I have had my car for close to 9 years now, at first I thought everyone was looking at me, as the years have gone on and I have bought other nice cars I have come to the realization that most people couldn't care less. There are a few that might strike up a conversation, and some jackass' that always have something dumb to say but fot the most part I think alot falls on how much I pay attention thinking people are looking.

My best example is a buddy that just bought a 330xi bmw, super nice car but since he thinks everyone is trying to race and everyone is looking at him. I have a bmw as well and just don't see it.

Having a toy car is a luxury but c4's are not exactly demanding a premium right now and depending on a persons priorities, there are a lot of people that could buy one.

Back in the mid 90's when Metallica's "Load" album came out, someone asked James Hetfield his inspiration for the song "Wasting my Hate". He says it went something like this.

He was talking to Johnny Cash swapping war stories of being on the road. Johnny related this one time when they were first getting started, and they were having lunch in some greasy spoon diner. Johnny noticed some dude in the parking lot sitting in a car staring at him inside the diner. This went on for quite some time, and Johnny got increasingly agitated at the guy and gave him the finger a couple of times. No response.

Johnny finally had enough of the guy giving him the Manson Lamps and went outside in a huff to see what the dude's problem was. It became obvious real quick......the guy was sound asleep.

Johnny told James Hetfield...."and here I went and wasted all of my hate on that guy".

Thus the song was born.

Your dude was baked. End of story.

LOL You must be from Cali. It's like they run the bums out of the states from right to left and Cali is the last place. Or the Pacific.

No, this guy was speaking of the late 1960 LeMans race. Said his brother was no longer alive to enjoy Corvettes.

You meet all kinds of people. The C4 is just pleasure to look at and most lack the will power to turn away.

...I agree. Hell even I find them mesmerizing and sometimes I stare...but not at the owner.

Over the years, I have come to the conclusion that some folks are just gonna act retarded like that no matter what. I'm just glad those instances are few & far between.
