IIRC the manual on my 95 said to avoid automatic car washes because the wide tires might get stuck in the tracks or something to that effect. I hand wash mine in my driveway.

LOL... my weather stripping leaks a little too, seems to be common umong us.

Took my car to an automatic car wash for the first time just recently after hand washing and waxing it for the last two years. I was acutally surprised at how good it turned out afterwards, and it took a lot less effort on my part. Maybe I'll be taking it through the auto wash a little more often.

I sometimes take my 94 to one specific touchfree car wash that I have come to trust. Its at a mobil gas station. -ts amazing. Sure a little water leaks in but not a big deal. And I always take my absorber to properly dry it afterwords.

it's no different than washing it at a regular car wash. Like I said the one I go to on occassion doesn't have any rails at all. You just drive in and that's it. A little water leaks in but not too bad. Then dry it off.

This is just when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to wash it myself.

I quit washing any of my vehicles at home because the water is hard and it will leave spots if you're not careful. The car washes have soft water selection.

I pwr wash mine at a place less than 1 mile from my house $2.00. I drive home and finsih it off in the drive way. I find it easier than yanking all my cleaning stuff out. The pwr wash gets all the hard stuff off.
