Default How/where to route antenna bypass switch

Did the obligatory "search" for ideas but still have a few questions. One of the C5 guys said to route the wire under the carpet behind the seats on the bulkhead as the carpet just lifts up. Mine doesn't budge. Another suggested putting the switch under the drivers dash area with a small piece of angle bracket and that sounds pretty good, but I don't like the idea of having to drill through the bulkhead. Am I going to have to pull the drivers seat to run the wires under the carpet or does somebody have a better/faster way to do this? At least I know I clipped the correct dark green wire from the relay thanks to a members post with a pic, but I was still nervous doing it. Any help would be great.

On my 87 i located it just to the left of the radio and I spliced it into the antenna lead that connects to the radio in the dash. Simple connection one wire into the switch one back out toggel completes the connection.

On my '94, I lifted the carpet up behind the passenger seat where the radio is, spliced the wires there and drilled a hole in the side of the tray to mount the switch. When I want to turn it back on I just lift the carpet, flip the switch, lay the carpet back down.

Some tips in this thread, and a picture of where one member located his switch.

I put mine in the lower hush panel, just behind the ALDL port. Out of sight, out of mind. My antenna hasn't seen daylight for 5 years, that's how much I care for radio.

I jsut disconnected mine at the plug in the rearmost hatch area right under the plastic covers. I listen to CDs only so don't need the antenna and I've even inserted a plastic plug so it looks like a factory delete option from outside.

I put mine behind the drivers seat on the back side of the targa storage pod. Its a micro switch. I just tied into the harness of the power antenna as all you need to do is break the circuit. You would bare know it was there
