How old were you when you got your first corvette?

I bought my '84 two years ago, when I was 36...I had to have something to compliment my Harley! My Father-In-Law literally cried when he sold it me.

Got mine at 16 back in 2000, joint purchase with the rents that I eventually paid off. Worked for two years until 2002 and hasn't run since. College, life and whatever else has stopped me from reviving it. Until this year! That bastard isn't going another year without cranking. No more taking it easy looming like a sunken ship!
Some new parts, some cuss words, some pissing and moaning, complaining and it's going to work this year dammit or I hearby delete my account on here and am done. I can't believe I've owned a Corvette for a decade and it hasn't worked for 80% of that decade.

It's more like a domino effect than anything; I fix one thing, and that causes something else to break. Both my Tach Filter wires are broke, so I got one from Eckler's. I've got broken wires everywhere that I haven't even begun to trace back. But, it is a Labor Of Love, right?

Right Out of College in 1977
My first Corvette for me was purchased when I graduated college in the Summer of 1977 at the young age of 23. It was a spectacular 1966 Convertible with the original 327 / 350 HP engine and a four speed Hurst shifter. Man the memories of back then are special.

6 months before my 16th birthday. A '77 L82. That was daddy's money. Only drove it for 6 months then dad sold it. It broke my heart.
Now, I'm 34 and have had my 89 vert for almost 2.5 yrs now. I'll always miss the C3, but its sweeter the 2nd time around because I understand what I have.

how old?
I was 23 and bought a 1958 vert with both tops, the rag, well the frame the rag was a couple of threads, and the bubble. I bought it from a buddy of mine in Chandler, AZ. who was stationed at William's Field Airforce Base for $400. The Car wasn't running but the
engine wasn't damaged so I had it rebuilt at the whopping price of
$650. The car didn't ride for crap and the steering wheel was as big as Frizland and the shift pattern took about two hours to traverse. Who cared though, it was a 'Vette. Wish I still had the car today though, it be worth a pretty penny. Enough to "gut" the 86 and start over and then some.
