Default How to remove silicone

Any good silicone removers, tried wd40, adhesive remover, heatgun, goo gone,being a real bitch.
Took off driving light grills and dude that put them on, used a wack of silicone.
Any replys would be greatly appreiciated.

Lighter fluid, if nothing else works, it will.

I think Acetone will disolve it but before you use it, the old warning on the carpet cleaner is in order - test on an inconspicuous area. If its a metal part acetone shouldnt be a problem but if its plastic or fiberglass i think you risk "melting" the plastic. hope that is helpful, only thing I can think of off the top.

Friction.....we used it to "glue" foam into concrete molds. I tried many different things to get it off....even oxygen acetylene torch...no go. Ended up using razor blades to get most of it off, then rubbed with rags to create friction to roll it off.

I tryed to upload a picture of my vette, not to good with that stuff and the only one on the card that worked was my 90lb. Old English Bulldog "Otis". He is such a ham.

Anything strong enough to remove silicone will probably damage the plastic. Scraping is probably the best - I use my fingernail.
