Default Zaino VS Turtle Wax

Today I did 1/2 half my hood with Zaino AIO, then with Z5, other half with Turtle Wx, and nothing else.
Neither me, my wife nor my daughter can tell any difference between the two halfs of the hood. Even looking into the direct sunlight reflection, no difference that we can tell.
I'm not saying that Zaino is a bad product at all, but from what I read, it was supposed to be the Cat's Meow.
I'll give Zaino one boost, it doesn't leave a film in creases and hard to reach places that turtle takes forever to remove.

I see no measurable differenece between the two product except Zaino ( both products ) ran $50.00 or so, and the Turtle costs $6.00.

My $0.02.

Thanks for the info!

Any word on repellent or protective capabilities for bird droppings or bugs and which allows easier removal?

Some heavy rains or super hot days both of them will go away dont worry about it.

About as fancy as I get is a bottle of Zymol from PepBoys.

Zaino is a good product but it is overrated. I tried it but would not spend the money again.

Ditto,

I'll stick with Turtle, but use Zaino around the lights and rubber parts as it doesn't leave the thin film.

Now you`ve done it. I can hear the Zaino crowd gearing up now. They will be visiting you.

Funny story. Today I was at my mechanics shop and his detailer was there talking about how he details cars and what waxes, glazes, sealants he uses. I showed him my car, daily driver ford focus and told him it took all day for someone to professionally detail it with numerous products. He agreed it looked good and looks like it was just done. As soon as he left I started laughing just thinking that the last time the car was done was about 4 months ago by myself using turtle wax platinum

I like some of the Mequire products and they're not too pricey. We're going to have a Meguire's rep do a detail seminar for our club so we'll see what some of their products can do. I get to clay bar and buff on donor cars from our sponsor so we'll see how well I do.

I like Turtle wax as well, but in between I wipe it down with Bass Boat Saver, works and looks great. I've used it on my bass boat for years. also makes it easy to keep the bugs off

with all of you.

A year ago this guy from San Diego bought a new C6. I saw the car 3 hours after it left the dealer, it was cleaned and shinny. He ordered Zaino and did the 25 coats they want you to apply etc.

I could notice a difference.

Last year I took my LT1 to a car show and this Z06 owner asked if I used Zaino in my Vette. I said, "No, I used Armor-All's car wash and Adam's detailers spray"

everyone has to be careful here - about 5 years ago or so, i got my butt kicked of the forum for about a week for making a "politically incorrect - left handed ("Z") waxer comment -

so, without taking sides,

1) - i wax (or polish) my corvettes more often than the wax durability thing becomes an issue.

2) - i pretty much did the same thing as the OP - i waxed (or polished) half my black Z06 with Zaino, and the other half with turtle wax ICE - went to a corvette show, and guess what - nobody noticed anything - go figure...

3) IMHO, all wax and polish is 90% hype, 10% fact -- cost wise, somewhere you hit the point of diminishing return. i've probably tried 50 different types, and the results were all pretty much the same. if you have good, glossy paint, just about any quality wax or polish will provide you enough protection between waxings. so if i have to spend $60, and several hours on a 2-3 step process, or $10 on a one step, half hour process -- guess what route i'm going...

here's a pic of my ICE'd black z06 next to a friends "zaino'd" red z06 - i know it's just a pic, but i can tell you, i got as many (shine) comments on my black "Z" as his red "Z" - (and that would kinda pi$$ him off - )

I have to agree with most here. Zaino Doesnt look any better than almost any product Ive ever used. WHat it does do is last a hell of a lot better.

I remember using meguiars 3 step. After a week, about 5 washes for me as I usually wash the car after every drive, the meguiars was almost gone. I knew it was because when I reapplied it I noticed a dramatic difference.

Same cant be said for Zaino in my experience. Which is complimenting Zaino. WHen I reapply It almost looks the same as before.

Will I ever buy it again? No.
